The annual International Classical Chinese Dance Competition is one in a series of international culture and arts events sponsored by NTD Television (New Tang Dynasty Television). This competitions series launches a new era in classical Chinese dance by fostering cultural exchange, making this ancient Chinese culture renowned throughout the world. Promoting purely authentic traditional dance, that is, pure goodness, and pure beauty.

Chinese classical dance is an art form which has been passed down from Chinese antiquity. The Chinese civilization throughout its 5,000 year history fostered its development, with its extremely elegant postures and body movements, its powerful expressions of emotion, and the rich and varied technical skills involved.
Chinese classical dance developed during the dynasties of ancient China, and has its beginnings in warriors performing martial arts style movements as entertainment performances in royal courts, and developing into a full system with its own unique vocabulary. The three main aspects of Chinese dance include form, bearing, and technical skill.

The NTDTV International Classical Chinese Dance Competition is the first ever large scale competition of its type to give you a chance to see the top dancers in the world compete, and to teach you more about this wonderful art.

DVD includes all the excitement from the fourth in this series of competitions which began in 2007. Volume II covers the Adult Female/Male portions of the competition, while Volume I, sold separately, gives you the Junior Female/Male division competitions.
